Newport Hospitality Group Offers First Look at Coastal-Inspired Transformation Underway at Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront
Renovation reimagines public spaces, meeting facilities, and social experiences while celebrating the spirit of Jacksonville Beach
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — June 25, 2026 — Newport Hospitality Group is unveiling a first look at the transformation underway at Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront, an extensive renovation designed to create a stronger connection to the property’s oceanfront setting while introducing flexible, experience-driven spaces for today’s travelers.

Now underway, the renovation reimagines key public areas throughout the hotel, blending contemporary coastal design with enhanced functionality for leisure guests, business travelers, and groups. This project represents owner Roch Capital’s strategic investment in the property’s future and its ongoing commitment to elevating the guest experience while strengthening the hotel’s position as a premier beachfront destination.
“Jacksonville Beach is a dynamic market, and this property has tremendous long-term potential,” said Vincent Abessino, Co-President of Roch Capital. “Our vision is to build on the hotel’s oceanfront location by creating spaces that feel fresh, relevant, and connected to the way guests travel today. With Newport Hospitality’s operational expertise and deep understanding of the property, we have the right management partner in place to bring that vision to life while continuing to deliver strong performance.”
Wayne West III, Newport President, had this to say: “We are excited to be a part of Roch Capital’s investment and its forward-looking vision that will enable this asset to truly thrive. The hotel has an exceptional location, a strong team, and a clear opportunity to distinguish itself in the market. With Roch’s backing behind it, we believe this property is well-positioned for continued growth and long-term success.”

Inspired by the natural beauty and laid-back energy of Jacksonville Beach, the redesigned spaces draw upon the colors, textures, and character of the surrounding coastal environment. Soft ocean blues, sandy neutrals, warm whites, and natural wood tones create a fresh, welcoming atmosphere that immerses guests in the destination from the moment they arrive.
“Our vision was to create an experience that truly reflects the property’s oceanfront location and the unique character of Jacksonville Beach,” said Luisa Monroy, Senior Interior Designer, Hospitality Resources & Design in Orlando. “Every design decision was made to strengthen that connection by bringing the beach indoors through color, texture, materials, and thoughtfully designed spaces that feel relaxing and functional.”
The multi-faceted renovation includes:
- A variety of flexible gathering public areas that support everything from morning coffee and remote work to afternoon socializing and evening cocktails. Integrated power access, improved circulation, and an open layout create an environment that adapts throughout the day.
- Transformation of the property’s food and beverage venues with refreshed branding and concepts, including the reimagined indoor restaurant and bar, a new walk-up pool bar, and an enhanced oceanside deck bar experience. These updated venues are designed to create welcoming destinations throughout the day for hotel guests and local residents, transitioning seamlessly from breakfast and poolside dining to evening cocktails and beachfront gatherings. Custom millwork, coastal-inspired materials, and a signature mural will establish these spaces as focal points of the property while strengthening the connection between the hotel’s indoor and outdoor environments.
- A comprehensive refresh of the hotel’s meeting facilities. Renovated meeting spaces now feature updated finishes, furnishings, and technology enhancements designed to support the evolving needs of planners, business travelers, and groups. Additionally, a new boardroom and enhanced lobby seating areas improve flow between gathering spaces and provide a stronger indoor-outdoor connection to enable guests to better enjoy the property’s oceanfront setting.
- New public-space flooring, a redesigned breakfast area, a transformed lobby experience, and a complete reimagining of the property’s indoor bar and restaurant space.
“The way people travel has changed dramatically,” said Monroy. “Guests are looking for spaces that allow them to work, gather, socialize, and relax without feeling confined to a single purpose. This renovation creates that flexibility while maintaining a strong sense of place and connection to the oceanfront environment.”
A Thriving Beachfront Destination

The Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront renovation (which began in March 2026 and is expected to conclude in August 2026) comes at a time when Jacksonville Beach continues to experience strong tourism growth, increased visitor demand, and ongoing investment throughout the destination’s hospitality sector. By modernizing key guest-facing spaces, the hotel is strengthening its position within the market while creating new opportunities for leisure travelers, group business, and local engagement.
“This renovation is about much more than updating physical spaces,” said Michael Gale, General Manager of Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront. “It’s about delivering the level of experience today’s travelers expect while enhancing the value, comfort, and atmosphere that have made this property a favorite destination on Jacksonville Beach. We’re investing in the future of the hotel and the future of the guest experience.”
Looking ahead, the current improvements are expected to support increased average daily rates, enhance meeting and event competitiveness, and serve as a foundation for future growth opportunities. This project reflects a significant investment in the property’s future and Newport’s commitment to keeping the hotel fresh, relevant, and aligned with evolving guest expectations.
“Renovating an active beachfront hotel requires a careful balance between transformation and day-to-day operations,” said Gale. “Our team has worked hard to ensure guests continue enjoying their stay while we continue to make meaningful investments that will benefit travelers for years to come. Newport is committed to staying competitive in a dynamic hospitality environment. We’re excited to share what’s already been completed and even more excited about what’s still to come.”
