Bill Carey, co-founder and chairman of Newport Hospitality Group, took his 35 history of market franchising, and financial success and distilled it into a hotel management company designed to optimize the performance of client hotel properties.
As an owner of several of NHG's managed hotels, Bill has his finger on the pulse of the hospitality industry. He is instrumental in the acquisition, repositioning and financing of hotel properties as well as the long range planning, growth and development of Newport Hospitality Group.
After graduating from Union College in Schenectady, New York in 1956, Bill joined the Sales and Marketing Department of AIRCO, a company with $100 million dollars in annual sales of industrial gases, welding equipment and metallurgical alloys.
During his 21 year career with AIRCO, Bill advanced to the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, supervising relations with 200 franchised distributors.
Bill then became President of his family's business, TLC Capital, Inc., which had as its primary interest a 47,000 acre ranch in northern Texas (which was sold in 2000) and a 15,000 acre ranch in central Oklahoma which it continues to own and operate.
