As Corporate Controller, Sheri Black supervises a group charged with overseeing the financials for all managed and owned properties.
Her department manages all banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly financial statements, guidelines, internal hotel audits, payrolls, tax documents for all employees and employee benefits/insurance/401(k).
Sheri has more than twenty-one years of experience in the hotel/motel industry. However, like many of our key people, she also has experience in other related fields.
Her career began in the food industry, where she gained a firsthand understanding of quality and customer satisfaction. Her transition to a hotel management company was accompanied by a shift into a financial career.
Sheri is relentless in her search for cost savings and opportunities for effective allocation of financial resources. However, she also understands the importance of exceeding guest expectations.
