Andrew Carey oversees Newport Hospitality Group's efforts exploring new growth opportunities through equity ventures and new acquisitions. His experience developing real estate partnerships and managing service companies provides a unique background to help Newport Hospitality grow in new directions.
Andrew started his career twenty years ago structuring and investing limited partnerships in a variety of real estate environments. Shortly thereafter, he joined Paine Webber where he helped to source and invest $200 million in real estate investments across the United States. His direct responsibilities with these organizations centered on finding, analyzing and negotiating acquisition candidates.
In addition to overseeing many of the capital transactions managed by NHG, Andrew helps to oversee the general operations of the company. In this capacity, Andrew works with each member of the operations team to ensure that your property receives the best expertise that our hotel management company has to offer. He works with the training, sales accounting and operations professionals to ensure that everyone is working to enhance your property's image, reputation and economic results.
Complementing these experiences, Andrew earned his Masters in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Well known for its real estate focus, Andrew took advantage of the school’s broad curriculum to ensure his skill depth across real estate as well as operational management.
As leader with NHG, Andrew now brings his experiences investing in real estate, and managing senior teams to NHG’s clients. His attention to operating details and focus on value creation will serve you well as you seek both to increase operating income and to enhance property values.
